Henri Matisse

Matisse’s cut outs are loose and unique, to me each form represents a certain feeling which is hard to describe but some have a calm and sad feeling, the colour background he has chosen makes each form stands out which shows he has carefully chosen the right colours that fit together well. Some forms are scaled bigger, which gives it depth. I am also using his work as inspiration for my abstraction project in graphics, which has helped enormously because I now know what design work to create.
