Sgraffito bowl

The Sgraffito bowl was a long process for me to complete but it turned out successful. I am pleased with the carving, which took the most time to do, the objects are very well drawn and detailed but the hardest part was trying to keep it as asymmetrical and you can see I have made a few mistakes because of the layer of slip under the circles.
Because it is white slip I decided to use manganese oxide to highlight the drawings on the bowl but also any other marks on the bowl that I have not made because I believe it makes it look old and decayed.

Casting resin objects

The casting resin task was a fun process to do, the outcomes of the objects in blue resin were bright and vibrant but it also I found the detail to be the best feature, it gives it depth. The process of making it was easy to do; we took our time in each lesson, which meant that the out come of it would look neat and correctly made.
The arrangement of the objects was quite hard as I had a few composition ideas to do but I finally chose a composition that reflects scale and also reflects neatness as well. I also photocopied it as well to see if it would change how it would look which turned out great because it made it look much more vibrant and more 3dimensional.
