The Sgraffito bowl was a long process for
me to complete but it turned out successful. I am pleased with the carving,
which took the most time to do, the objects are very well drawn and detailed
but the hardest part was trying to keep it as asymmetrical and you can see I
have made a few mistakes because of the layer of slip under the circles.
Because
it is white slip I decided to use manganese oxide to highlight the drawings on
the bowl but also any other marks on the bowl that I have not made because I believe
it makes it look old and decayed.
